Payment friction is where a lot of new Litbuy buyers stall. Shopping is easy; paying can be confusing. This guide covers what actually works.
Supported payment methods
- International credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, sometimes Amex).
- PayPal — regional availability varies.
- Cryptocurrency in select regions.
- Wise or SWIFT wire for larger orders.
- Alipay international if you have an account.
Card payment failures
Cards fail for two reasons — issuer blocks or merchant region mismatch. Blocks are easy: call your bank, whitelist Litbuy, retry. Region mismatches sometimes require a different card.

PayPal hold cycles
PayPal occasionally holds funds on Chinese-merchant transactions for 24–72 hours. Wait it out. Escalated reviews usually clear when you provide order details.
Cryptocurrency where supported
Fast and hard to reverse. No chargeback if something goes wrong. Use for orders where you trust the platform.
Wise or SWIFT for larger orders
Over $500, Wise transfers often incur lower total fees than card processing.
Currency conversion trap
Some issuer cards convert at rates 2–3% worse than market. Wise and multi-currency cards convert closer to interbank. On a $300 order, meaningful.
What to do if payment fails
- Retry with a five-minute gap.
- Call issuer and pre-authorize the merchant.
- Switch to different method.
- Contact Litbuy support with exact error code.
